Notice to remove vehicles
Springston South Reserve,
The Selwyn District Council intends to
remove all unregistered and unwarranted
vehicles that have been placed on the above
Council Reserve. The removal of these
vehicles will take place on 31 August.
It is an offence under the Reserves Act 1977
(Section 110) and the Selwyn District Council
Parks and Reserves Bylaw 2009 (Clause 7.5)
to abandon vehicles on a reserve. As the
administering body of the land, Council has
the powers to take possession of the vehicles
and dispose of them.

Ellesmere Water Race
On behalf of the Selwyn District Council,
Glenroy Community Irrigation Co.
Ltd are temporarily shutting off the Upper
Ellesmere water race intake and scheme to
allow for intake maintenance.
The intake will be closed on Tuesday, 28
August and will be reopened on Thursday,
30 August. Races affected include Rakaia
Tce, Sharlands, Waikimihia, Rakaia, Selwyn
and Illingworth Roads and all off-shoots.
Flow may take time to reach all downstream
users of the scheme.

Have you registered your dog for the 2012/13 year?
Reminders have been sent to all dog owners who did not pay by 1 August. The penalty fee now
due is $50 for the first dog and $35 for the second and subsequent dogs.
Any dogs not registered by Wednesday, 12 September will be visited by
an Animal Control Officer who may issue a $300 fine per dog.
