Following the devastation of this month's
Selwyn Road fire, the Selwyn District
Council have set up a Westpac account for
those wishing to make a donation to help
the residents affected by this fire.
If you have items that you wish to donate,
the Lincoln Events Centre in Meijer Drive,
is currently receiving items.
Items that will be helpful at this stage:
• New to near-new household items
• Non-perishable goods
• Linen and bedding

Specific donations to the Hartley and
There have been specific requests to
donate money directly to the families who
lost their homes.
The families have set up their own accounts
to receive donations.

The Glentunnel Community Centre
Committee needs five new members
from the ratepayers areas of Whitecliffs,
Glentunnel and Coalgate.
The committee meets bi-monthly.

Toddler Time 2013
The Selwyn Library Toddler
Time sessions will start up the
first week of February.

Trialling Baby Time -- Rolleston
or Lincoln Libraries
The Selwyn Library is looking at trialling
a Baby-Time session for Term 1 in either
Rolleston or Lincoln Libraries.
The session is aimed at babies from birth to
18mths and involves songs, rhymes, bubbles

Noxious Weed Spraying
of Forestry Plantations,
Gravel Reserves and
Grounds and Services Limited (GSL) have been awarded the above contract. Weed
spraying will commence near the end of January and will be completed no later than
1 April 2013. The chemical Grazon, with a wetting agent, will be used and will contain
a colour fast dye agent. GSL will inform any lessees of their intention to encroach onto
the leased Council property.
