Term 2 Programmes
Starts Monday 6 May 2013
For pre-schoolers and toddlers
40 minute session aimed at stimulating babies' brains. Suitable for
babies 12 weeks old to crawlers. Prerequisite: Babies need to able to
hold their heads up for this class. Please bring a blanket.
Mondays 10--10.40am. $4 per child per session. Starts 6 May
Help your children establish foundation skills for whole brain learning
in fun activities focused on motor coordination, cognitive development,
concentration and improve learning abilities.
Mondays. Walkers to 2½--3 yrs, 10.45--11.30am; 3--5 yrs,
11.45am--12.30pm. $4 per child per session. Starts 6 May
Pre-schoolers Rumpus Room
Bring your pre-schooler for some mega fun and learning together on
our colourful new gym equipment in the "rumpus room"!
Fridays 10--11am and 11am--12pm. $3.50 per child and $2.50 per
additional sibling. Starts 10 May
Sing n Jive for Under 5s
Enrolment required. Get your preschoolers singing, moving and making
music in this exciting and varied class. Parent/caregiver attendance and
involvement is essential.
Wednesdays 1.15--1.45pm. $40 for 10 weeks. Starts 8 May
Join Jackie at Rolleston Library, in these fun and interactive, theme
based sessions including stories, songs and rhymes.
Tuesdays 9.30--10am and 10.30--11am at the Library. Free! Starts 7 May
For school children
Basketball with Canterbury Basketball
Enrolment required. Limited numbers for these classes. Get the kids
moving and having a ball while learning how to play basketball! Session
caters for all skill levels.
Fridays 5--8 yrs, 3.45--4.30pm. 9--12 yrs, 4.30--5.15pm. $54 for 9 weeks.

A fun variety of fitness activities designed to get your child moving in a
fun supportive environment. This programme challenges and encourages
children to get fit and stay that way.
Mondays 4.15--5pm. Suitable for ages 8 up. $6 per session. Starts 6 May
Skate to be Fit (brought to you by Phat SK8)
Let's get retro. After school fun for all the family. Come and join this fun
class suitable for all abilities. Mums and dads welcome to participate.
Wear comfortable clothes. Skates provided. Adult supervision required
for children 11 years and under.
Wednesdays, 3.30--4.30pm. $6 per session. Starts 8 May
Enrolment required. Limited numbers for this class. Zumba for children!
Fun and dynamic dance fitness class.
Mondays. Little Starz, 4--7 yrs, 3.30--4.15pm. $54 for 9 weeks. Starts 6 May
Dabble with Scrabble
Come along and try your hand at scrabble in a cosy atmosphere. BYO
game. Enjoy a cup of tea afterwards to round off a sociable afternoon.
Mondays 2--4pm, runs through the school holidays. Free!
A bi-monthly social get-together aimed at senior citizens. Morning/
afternoon teas and a delicious hot lunch provided! Activities include
games, discussions, exercises and quizzes. Transport assistance may

PWD Sports Activities
Sport activities for people with disabilities. For further information contact

Caregivers and registration required. Every second Saturday of the
month. 1.30--2.30pm. $2.00 per session
Roller SK8 -- For All Ages!
Spin around the stadium floor to music and disco lights! For all ages
including adults. Adult supervision required for children 11 years and
under. Skates provided (so as not to damage the floor).
Saturdays 4--6pm. Dates: 11 and 18 May, 8 and 22 June, 6 July.
$8 per person
Rolleston Community Market
The last Sunday of the month 10am--1pm, all year round. On the grass area
beside the Community Centre. If wet, in the Community Room.

Beginners Upholstery Workshop
Would you like to make an old piece of furniture look like new or
give it an exciting facelift? If the answer is yes then come along to
my upholstery workshop and find out how to do it. Ideal for those
attempting their first project.

Programmes for adults
Fitness Max classes (FM)
All Fitness Max Classes generally run through the holidays, check with
your class tutor. All classes are $7 per session or you may purchase a
10 + get 1 free Fitness Max concession card for $70. Fitness Max cards
can be purchased and used at Rolleston Community Centre and the
Lincoln Event Centre.
BUM ABS and THIGHS! The name says it all! Blast those target
areas in this express class, look good and have a great work out all
Wednesdays 6--6.45pm. Starts 15 May, no class 5 June NEW TIME
Circuit with a Twist
This is an exercise circuit jam packed with a variety of ways to help
you achieve a full body workout. Suitable for all abilities. Crèche available
($4 per child), phone 347 2882 to book in your child.
Tuesdays 9.30--10.30am. Starts 7 May
A great, all-over workout for toning and muscle strength, using a weight bar
and plates. Energising pumping music to keep you going!
Mondays 6--6.50pm. Arrive early to get your gear set up.
Social Table Tennis
Fun casual session for people of all ages and skill levels to have a
go at table tennis. No prior experience necessary. All equipment
provided. Enjoy a cuppa also.
Step It Up!
A great fat-burning class that combines aerobic moves with a step
platform for an awesome workout. Suitable for all abilities.
Strengthen and Stretch
Combining the benefits of yoga, pilates, core strengthening and
stretching, this class is a great way to build strength increase flexibility
and calm the body and mind. An optional short relaxation session
at the end tops off this beneficial exercise class.
A fun and dynamic fitness class, combining
a range of easy-to-follow Latin and inter
national dance styles set to addictive,
energising music. Suitable for all abilities.
Other fitness classes
A low impact fun exercise class aimed at active people 50 years and over.
Mondays and Fridays 1.30--2.15pm. $3 per session
Sport Canterbury's Green Prescription programme provides support
and motivation to increase your physical activity levels with free clinics
are run every second Wednesday, run by an experienced physical
activity coach. The service is free!

Move it to Music
Experienced tutor uses music, fun equipment and a sense of humour
to get you moving. Suitable for those with arthritis or the less active
who want to "use it not lose it". Cuppa afterwards.
Wednesdays, 2--3pm, $3 per session
Tai Chi Intermediate
Enrolment required. Limited numbers for this class. This class is suitable
for students who have progressed from Tai Chi Beginners and wish to
gain more skill, knowledge and health benefits from their Tai Chi.
